Phil Williams (502, Dances with Waves, Worser Bay Boating Club) beats Grant Beck (511, Wakatere Boating Club) to the top mark in race 5. Phil went on to win the race but Grant pipped Phil for second in the series, behind the new national champ Tim Snedden from Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.
